Interesting idea and I see where you're coming from, but counting nutrients can end up being as disordered as counting calories--and way, way harder.

I've read a few low-carb blogs recently. Mostly, they attract men who measure their L-glycine phytocarbons (I just made that up) to the 1/100,000,000th of a gram.

Seriously weird and ultimately unhelpful, if you ask me.

It's really horrible how obsessed we've become with food: eat this, don't eat that, measure this, increase that.

Whatever happened to a nice, balanced diet? Yeah, the one that's kept the human race alive for a couple of hundred thousand years.

I hope you realize that I'm just being snarky about the topic in general. I enjoy your blog immensely.

The blog post that once read "What if we counted nutrients instead of calories?" has been changed.

Orthorexia is indeed another disordered way of eating.
I had forgotten.
