Have you ever gone for a sleep study? Maybe you wake up during the night and do not know it. I am also wondering if some of your fatigue doesn't have to do with what time you go to bed. If I go too bed late, (no matter how late I sleep), I feel tired and HUNGRY all the next day. If we followed nature, none of us would ever be up past 8 or 9 at night.
Hi Leigh! Yes I've gone for a very expensive sleep study and was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. I now sleep with a C-Pap and do really well. I try (try) to get to sleep before 10pm but that's when adrenal fatiguers like me tend to get that burst of energy. Sucks. I'm working really hard to get into a healthier rhythm.
Hi, Lisa! I can so relate to your post. I deal with a wacky adrenal cycle. I'm tired during the day and wide awake around 9 or 10 and I also wake up around 3 or 4 in the morning. I go back to sleep but it's not a deep sleep. I've done a few things that seem to really help. When I don't keep consistant my adrenals go back to their same habits. I take a daily dose of Holy Basil. I especially like the one from New Chapter. It helps regulate the adrenal cycle. I also read Dr. Jonny Bowden's book about 150 ways to boost your energy. I hit on a handful of things that made a HUGE difference. You might want to check it out. I'm hopefull that after a period of time my body will adjust on it's own and I won't have to focus on this area so much. Good luck to you!
