Hi Lisa,

glad all went well with the surgery, and you'll be out and about in no time!

Long time no see, I lost the link to your blog, and just searched all over the place to find it ... melting mama was big help. ;)

Wanted to throw something out there, that has helped me lose and keep off quite a bit of weight ... you never know, right? It sounds a bit flaky at first, but please read the book and THEN decide what your opinion is, okay? It's a quick read and makes much sense ... and that's how I decide on things in life, do they make sense, or not.

So anyway, this stuff is called hcg for short, and the book to read is Pounds & Inches by Dr. Simeons. Then if you have any questions at all, you can email me anytime. An online friend of mine, whom I met at a lowcarb site we've belonged to for years, just lost 50 lbs in 2 months, she went from 330 to 280 lbs and is overjoyed. There are several things to watch out for, and there are several great forums to read - my favorite is happilythinnerafter.com - check it out, you've got time while you're recuperating and who knows, this might be the saving grace you've been searching for. It is nothing short of miraculous!

Best wishes to you for a wonderful and successful New Year!

Happy Belated Christmas - while I wasn't hospitalized, I felt depressed & isolated (as usual in the periods that my son is away from home)...

But Hubby actually did as I asked; he invited my folks for Boxing Day dinner (when my son got home), they actually CAME so I thought that was a big step in the right direction.

Glad to hear you're on the mend!

Cry when you feel like it.I think we take showers to clean our body, but with tears we clean our heart. is better out than inside..:D

I'm so glad your parents were able to be with you for a bit. Sometimes crying can clear out your soul. Nothing wrong with feeling a bit slighted on Christmas, anyone would. The holidays are so hard anyway. Hang in there girly!
