I like that blogs/youtube/etc allow for the spectrum of thoughts and realities. I value your story. I think it's important for folks to know what can be very, very NOT GOOD about WLS. Hey, between you and Melting Mama, I got skeered off it for myself when I was at-rope's-end a couple years ago...and MM is happy with her weight loss and doesn't try to sugarcoat OR scare folks off. She gives her story, take or leave it.
I follow another blog of a smart cookie who critiques a certain type of dietary close-mindedness.
Me, I think we're all trying to find the way to health. Stumbling or flying, we're just fumbling about, looking for what works for us, what doesn't....and just holding on to all sorts of hope.
For some, the hope lies in WLS, and accepting any negative makes their bubble shake and threaten a burst. That makes for folks to want to attack. And I understand that--none of us want our bubbles burst.
But I think sometimes the very folks who say, "This is my story, and you may not like the results" are the ones we may most need to read/hear. If we proceed, then let's do so with eyes open...slightly open or wide open, but opened up a bit.
