knee blamers

This makes me very angry. But I understand people with the "old school mentality" all too well, not that it makes anything right. We have a common battle against "guilt." Something I was going to blog about today, but I need sleep. But I want to first and foremost say DO NOT BLAME YOURSELF FOR ANYTHING! I don't know how many different things I can point out here, like the notion of you can't take care of anybody until you take of yourself. Or the fact that what you are doing as part of your RECONSTRUCTION process is an endeavor that is more than inspiring. And the fact that these people do not read your blog, so ignorance has a lot to do with what they believe.
My Aunt Karen once told me that in life, you come around people who add a lot of NOISE in your life. And once you stop listening to the NOISE you can listen to your SELF. I guess we know it as SPIRIT! Your father knows if you could have been there you would, and in my opinion, everyone needs to keep their mouth shut unless they know what they are talking about, with all due respect. But we run into people like that every day! We cannot EXPECT people to be as such I guess.
And you are right, it's hard enough fighting the good fight without the guilt of outsiders. But you're doing mighty fine ;) . Blessings!

This makes me so angry. First off DO NOT BLAME YOURSELF FOR ANYTHING. I know all too well what it is like to deal with the "old school mentality" but it doesn't make it right. People live in ignorance to the things that you know and live by so it is easy for people to act as if they KNOW. My opinion is, people shouldn't speak unless they now what they are talking about, with all due respect.
There are so many things I can point out in this, like the notion of "you can't take care of anyone unless you take care of yourself" or the fact that the steps you have taken for your RECONSTRUCTION is beyond inspiring, and if these people cannot see that, even if they don't read your blog (which maybe they should) then they are missing out on a wonderful thing. You are taking great steps because you value yourself and your actions are completely opposite of their ideas of you.
My Aunt Karen always told me in life you come around people who add a lot of NOISE around you. Once you take the time to stop listening to the NOISE can you move forward and act in a more productive and meaningful manner. Don't listen to the NOISE, Lisa!
Your father knows you could have been there if you could. And I know it's hard enough to fight the good fight without the guilt trips, believe me I KNOW (actually that was going to be my next blog post, but not tonight I gotta sleep). But you're doing a damn good job ;). Blessings!

Yours in service,
A TRENTO

I'm right there with everything Andrew said.

Sometimes I can't help but hate members of your family, coworkers, colleagues, etc, because of the things they say to you and the opinions they foist upon you.

I read this post and felt my hands clenching to fists and my stomach tensing to angry knots as I prepared to beat the shit out of people for you. I love you so much that I get CRAZY PISSED when people attack you and instantly want to protect you, especially from "family" who are supposed to love you. I use family in quotes here because it should be made up of people who love us properly by treating us with respect. Blood ties will NEVER trump respect. Fuck those bitches.
