See if You Can Try

This is exactly how I started getting stronger. I had terrible pain when I walked, but I just walked for 3-5 minutes and rested. I walked very short distances and sat down when I needed to. Day 1 was just a 4-minute walk from home in which I had to sit down twice (once there and once back).

Every inch you move will make you stronger. All of those little efforts will add up, but it's imperative never to go too far too fast and hurt yourself. You are not "trying", you are "doing" what you can. Fulfilling your current capacity to exert yourself is 100% success. Overdoing it so that you set yourself back to cater to some external sense of what you should be doing is setting yourself up for failure.

You're doing great, with every little thing you do and, more importantly, by doing the best you can within your limits. Respecting pain- and fatigue-imposed limits limits is imperative.
