I found the first part of the video really creepy (where they were talking shop talk with fellow WLS people) but their segment on you was done with respect and that's all you can ask for.
Great quote, Lisa! I like that subversive, counter-power philosophy.
The two TV women are personable and more down to earth than I recall seeing on regular TV (haven't watched TV in a few years).
"But." :)
TV isn't really a medium that advances critical thought or has the capacity to challenge the status quo in any way. So...Can't really fault the show's hosts for that--and it is a SHOW after all, as you suggest.
Your blog, on the other hand, does both of the above, rare to be sure, and it is (in addition) creative. So. YAY! :) It's refreshing to find another blog (among a short list so far) that features weight loss peripherally to living YOUR life and LIVING your life.
Commercial TV isn't a medium for challenging the status quo...well, except for shows like All in the Family, Roseanne, The Cosby Show, Daily Show, South Park...ok, you get my drift, lol.
But most commercial TV is just crap reinforcing crap ideas about how to conform to a crap system that helps us live stunted crap lives, so I get ya.
Yes, mine is a weight loss surgery blog that doesn't like weight loss, at least not as a focus or even a primary goal.

Not my bag either, but nice ladies, nevertheless.
