Today - when I had killer cramps from outer space
or was it Satan? - I tried to stick with my aspirin therapy
(Disclaimer: it's a special kind of aspirin, not pills from the store
and no I'm not giving you details because you'll harm yourself
if you take it the wrong way).
I really tried.
I took an extra dose and waited.
I went out into the sunshine and did deep breathing.
I drank a little coffee.
The cramps from Satan's hell in outerspace raged on
as I lay there grimacing on the sofa
wishing for someone to knock me over the head with a mallet.
Nope.
I won't put you through this, I told myself.
Whatever hyperinflammatory setback this causes you
it will have to be dealt with. I'm taking the pain killers.
So, I did.
Then I turned on the air conditioning to make
myself more comfortable.
Then I slept for 4 hours.
I woke up with a 97.6 temperature.
Wished getting well was just a consistent upward rise to
amazing health one hot temperature at a time
with no glitches or bumps.
Realized that I'm not perfect and neither is life.
Totally forgave myself (not really "totally"
or I wouldn't be writing this blog post)
and am now going to watch the new
episode of South Park.
By the by
I creatd a new blog today
to store all my poetry
(most of it is like 10 years old
but I should get it out there).
The first entry is a poem for Cesare.
What?
You're surprised?

Severe pain sucks, at least you know how to treat yourself safely, unfortunately after wls, it gets tricky because so many post ops now, are saying, like I've been, that pain meds don't work as effectively, like they did prior to surgery. At least they were able to provide you with some pain relief. I hope you feel better soon.. Lisa..
