Diary of a Fat Girl

The thing about men who reject fat women, and I can say this because I've been fat my entire life and married my husband when my weight must have been 230-250 lbs. and know the type of men who will love a woman regardless of weight, is that those men are deeply insecure and unhappy with themselves. They don't need a woman for love, companionship, or spiritual union. They need a woman who enhances their value in the eyes of strangers, lackeys, and other insecure men. They don't have love to offer anyone. They are interested in what they can take from a partner.

Someone who truly loves and is loving of both himself and others doesn't let weight stop him from loving a woman because he doesn't need her to augment his tattered sense of self-worth. I consider myself immensely blessed to have found and married such a man. And such men do exist. They just aren't driving around cars with idiotic bumper stickers telling the world how sad and insecure they are.

If you're going to cry, don't cry over his rejection of you or other fat women. Cry over the fact that he is a sad person with little to give, and that his life will never really be happy because of it.

Funny, I don't have a bumper sticker on my car that says "no douchebags." Yet somehow I feel it would be more appropriate than this rude abomination.
