Splenda is not splendid

I love stevia! My favorite is the SweetLeaf brand because it has no additives in it. They've just come out with these tabs you can carry with you to put in drinks... I've yet to try them, but they sound good. Occasionally I'll use the NuNaturals liquid drops.

I haven't had Truvia, and I don't think I will. I dislike companies like Cargill, and I'm way of the fact that they add things to it. From what I understand Cargill lobbied against the FDA finally listing stevia as a sweetener although they somehow managed to get their own brand approved.

Now that I've given you my oh-so-fascinating opinion on stevia brands.. what I really wanted to say is that I'm glad to find someone else that uses it!

I have to say stevia is a godsend for paleo eaters like myself. Not even the raw honey is an option here (I'm working on eliminating candida). I have much fewer cravings than I used to, but sometimes after a hard day, just a taste of something sweet soothes the savage beast. Raw cacao coconut milk with a hint of stevia - mmmm.

Great blog!

Even mainstream doctors tell you to avoid splenda and aspartame when pregnant. That's a red flag for me right there.

I've been using stevia regularly for awhile now and I LOVE it. I can finally have hot cocoa again!

Lisa, I always love your posts.

Leah, isn't that amazing that they tell us not to eat that stuff when we're pregnant, but all of a sudden we deliver and it's "OK"???

First time visiting your blog. I'm enjoying it very much.

Same old story, isn't it? Get us to buy chemicals that make us sick, so we have to buy more drugs. Money money money. At what price our health?
