I like that post Lisa. I read bitch magazine but don't choose to read playboy. You made so many good points and I, like you, see many sides to many situations.
Personally, I just don't want to be a part of a 'lifestyle' that makes me (as a woman) defined as less or more depending on my appearance. This includes Womans Day and other publications as well. Whether it is exploitative or consensual isn't really the point for me.
It is about how woman, as humans, are treated more and more like we don't exist if not accessible in a certain way. Acsessible translating to fuckable.
I also cannot help but wonder if this is passed on as more fat hatred. As in, I do not want to fuck you but, because women are there for my enjoyment and you don't meet the criteria then I have a right to hurl abuse at you and let you know you are unacceptable to me.
This also has no relation to how I feel about you being included in the next issue of a magazine. Good on you for using a widely publicated media outlet to show yourself and your writing.
