There is something about that whole New York shock jock aesthetic that I find deeply offensive--especially in their treatment of women. I always assumed that their core audience was bottom of the barrel, lowest-common denominator, juvenile, blue collar types. I thought Howard Stern was a pretty poor excuse for a human being and yet, from time to time when I would tune in, I would always get a kick out of his celebrity ego deflation stuff. I don't agree with the political orientation of the South Park guys and yet I believe that their show is incredibly brilliant. I guess I always look for a certain amount of intelligence in whatever it is I'm listening to/watching/reading...Even if the package is presented as anti-intellectual there has to be a core of something that I can cling to...

That sounds like the sort of breakfast I would like!
I also enjoy a wide variety of entertainment and opinions and grabbing bits of pieces from all types of areas. I do tend to balk a bit at mindsets that are based on women as objects and underlying sexism and classism.
You didn't post yet today so I hope everything is cool with you:)
