Coincide Ance on the board

Oh, how I love
those mysterious little coincide-ances!

Tonight I was teaching on the subject of light and dark.
I said one of the most ubiquitous mythological dualities is
that of light vs. dark.

I explained the psycho-evolutionary component of our fear of that which we cannot see (dark) vs. that which is obvious and illuminated (light). I said that as part of our survival instincts we prefer to be able to see predators or attackers in the light of day rather than dwell in the uncertainty of darkness. In the dark, things can jump out and eat us. As diurnal creatures with animalistic survival instincts we are more comfortable with light rather than with darkness.

This led humans to develop mythologies of light vs. dark with the light representing that which is good.
Our preference for light influenced our belief that light is "good" and dark is "not so good".

I showed a video.

As it was running I noticed the board from a previous class peaking up from underneath what I had written.

Light and dark.

Right under my board with the words "ubiquitous mythological duality" was a board with the words "light" and "dark" written on it (a professor had been teaching about photosynthesis).
I gasped.

Of course I pointed it out to my class.

Not sure if they were as gasp-y about the coincide-ance.
It was fun to show them anyway.

What does it mean?

Not sure, but I know that when these little intersections of "oh my" show up, Spirit is afoot.

Other coincide-ances are sure to show up.

I'll keep my eyes open!
