But remember one thing;
if you're reading this
you made it.

Many of us didn't.

We hear news reports on the radio of unfortunate, accidental deaths. This gives us the impression that those are the only folks who died today. We think everyone else is just going about their business.
Not so.

Check the obituaries.
They never seem to run out of listings do they.
Go to any local hospital and pass by the morgue.
No shortage of work there.
Google up a foreign newspaper and read about death by acts of war or natural disasters.
I think the going death rate is something like 150, 000 people per day here on earth.

Today I was one of the lucky ones who lived to enjoy another day.
So were you.

It's great if we can be healthy, happy, motivated and all that
but how about just slightly grateful and totally amazed enough to say,
"Holy Shit, I'm alive!"
at least once per day.

How's THAT for an affirmation?
