is full of people
while they snub contentment."
- Doug Larson
I am content.
Last year all I wanted was to be able to live an active life, to walk, to take vacations, to swim, to get around without cane or crutches.
This year it happened.
Damn straight, I'm content.
I love going out to eat. I've been to plenty of really good restaurants with family and friends this summer for nice dinners and enchanting lunches.
I love parties. I've been to quite a few this summer.
I love the beach. Ok, so I've only been to the beach twice but the summer ain't over!
I love Disney World. I walked it like a boss.
I love weekend mini-vacations. I've been to Jamestown, the Poconos, Rehoboth Beach, and I still may get away to a destination or two before I return to school in September.
My brother and his wife visited this weekend.
We had such a good time!
We hot tubbed!
I like using "hot tub" as a verb.
We filmed an interview with our soon-to-be 90 year old mother recollecting her life through pictures. We prayed in the Spirit and anointed her with sacred oils to help her with her arthritis.
We enjoyed each other's company as a loving family.
I'm getting better at Qi Gong.
I'm getting better at recognizing the habits of my own mind so that I can say Shhhhhhh and not be a victim of awfulizing thoughts.
Getting better. Not accomplished once and for all, but getting better.
Hey, practice makes better!
I am blessed with loving friends and family,
a few of whom have returned to my life
after years away.
I'm surrounded by Spirit filled people.
I'm healthier for this birthday than I have been in years.
I have drive to accomplish more.
I have a heart open to sharing my abundance with others.
Yes, I am content.
Joy and Gratitude lead to more things to be joyful about and grateful for.
This is a law of the Universe.
